Pancake Breakfast
Rome has been an annual tradition for decades.
For many of us, it is the informal start to the Christmas holiday season.
That day arrives Saturday before Thanksgiving, as the Noon Optimist Club of Rome annual Pancake Breakfast welcomes guests at the Rome Civic Center.
Breakfast is served from 6 a.m. until 11 a.m. and that includes sit-down dining which features an all-you-can-eat meal or drive-through.
Tickets are $8 in advance or $9 at the door. Club members also are selling sausage at $6 a pound. Corporate sponsorships also are welcomed, ranging from $100 to $2,500.
The club’s only fundraiser of the year, proceeds support youth programs in our community, including Terrific Kid honors and student of the year.
